The present work is part of a wider project of study of the port space of the city of Punta Alta (Argentina) generated by the Municipal Historical Archive of Punta Alta and that aims at a diachronic analysis of the commercial port of the city, originally called Arroyo Pareja and now known as Puerto Rosales, part of the port system of the Bahía Blanca. The present paper aims to respond in a partial and provisional way to several questions that arise when studying the port of Arroyo Pareja during the first two decades of its operation (1922-1939): how it was used by foreign investors and by the State and to what extent cereal companies such as Bunge & Born and Dreyfus modified its market situation and its export orientation.

Le présent travail fait partie d'un projet plus large d'étude de l'espace portuaire de la ville de Punta Alta (Argentine) généré par les Archives historiques municipales de Punta Alta et qui vise à une analyse diachronique du port commercial de la ville, initialement appelé Arroyo Pareja et maintenant connu sous le nom de Puerto Rosales, faisant partie du système portuaire de Bahía Blanca. Le présent document vise à répondre de manière partielle et provisoire à plusieurs questions qui se posent lors de l'étude du port d'Arroyo Pareja pendant les deux premières décennies de son fonctionnement (1922-1939) : comment il a été utilisé par les investisseurs étrangers et par l'État et dans quelle mesure des entreprises céréalières telles que Bunge & Born et Dreyfus ont modifié sa situation sur le marché et son orientation vers l'exportation.
