Dans la perspective institutionnaliste, la famille est la cellule sociale primaire agissant comme médiatrice de la transition de l’individu à la société. Comme toutes les institutions la famille vit une lutte assidue entre l’institué et l’instituant. À partir des conceptualisations de René Lourau, nous réfléchirons au processus d’institutionnalisation qui se produit dans les pratiques avec les familles, afin de favoriser une perspective critique sur le social dans un dialogue France-Brésil. Dans cette analyse nous mettrons l’accent sur les moments de reproduction et d’invention dans ces pratiques ainsi que les similitudes et les différences.

A French-Brazil dialogue Summary: From the institutional perspective, family is the primary social unit that acts as a mediator, facilitating the transition of the individual into society. Like all institutions, families go through a constant fight between the established and the establishing. From the conceptualisations of René Lourau we will ponder the process of institutionalisation which occurs during practices with families, favouring a critical social perspective in a France-Brazil dialogue. In this analysis, we shall emphasise moments of repetition and innovation happening in these practices as well as similarities and differences.
