Xiaoli Wei et al., « Boat in the Tide of History: Chan Kei Fan. An Overseas Chinese Engineer Architect », HAL-SHS : architecture, ID : 10.12285/jzs.20230427001
Chan Kei Fan is the same age as Liang Sicheng and Hua Lanhong (Léon Hoa), but his life differs significantly from others. Chan is the son of an overseas Chinese family. He spent half of his life in Vietnam and Cambodia during the wars and completed several important public buildings, while he has always kept strong ties tohis home country. His collaboration with Vann Molyvann in Cambodia constitutes a remarkable episode in overseasChinese history. Chan’s personal story reveals several facets of the macro-history at the beginning of the 20th century.
