À l’atelier d’ergothérapie, la proposition faite aux patients est de venir inscrire, ou tenter de le faire, quelque chose de leur vécu sur une surface de projection, un support. Par ce processus de réalisation, par le travail autour de sa matérialité, cet objet représenterait une frontière entre la réalité interne et le monde. C’est au travers de la rencontre avec deux patients reçus à l’ uhsa (unité hospitalière spécialement aménagée) – dans ce milieu lui-même d’entre-deux, à la fois de soins psychiatriques et carcéral – que nous allons illustrer ce maniement de la médiation en ergothérapie comme interface, éventuellement comme d’un bord dont le patient peut faire usage pour reconstruire sa subjectivité, voire sa singularité et son rapport au monde.

At an occupational therapy workshop, we offer patients the possibility of inscribing, or attempting to inscribe, part of their lived experience on a projection surface, a medium. Through this production process, through the work around its materiality, the object becomes an interface between an internal reality and the external world. Through the encounter with two patients at a uhsa (specially equipped hospital unit) –an in-between space acting as both a place for psychiatric care and a prison– we aim to explore this use of mediation in occupational therapy as an interface, even an edge, for patients to rebuild their relationship with the world.
