Si, pour Lacan, la fin d’une analyse implique la passe, celle-ci n’est pas pour autant son terme. Elle ouvre un nouveau temps de l’analyse, un temps issu de ce moment fugitif qui a conjoint la faille dans l’Autre avec l’apparition de l’objet et que Lacan appelle « le temps qu’il faut pour se faire à être » selon sa formulation de 1970 dans « Radiophonie ».

If, for Lacan, the end of analysis implies the passe, the passe is not commensurate with an analysis’ termination, rather the passe opens a new time in the analysis as a consequence of this transient moment that conjoined the fault in the Other with the apparition of the object. Lacan calls this, according to his formulation in 1970 in Radiophonie, “the time that is necessary to be made.”
