"This paper is a result of a research effortcarried out between May and June in the year2000. Philip Lalander traveled to Venezuela forthe purpose of developing his analytical capacitiesin the understanding of the Swedish culturein his recent research on alcoholic beverage anddrug customs, and his ability to detect these culturaltraits in a distinct cultural background. Venezuelawas selected based on the experience ofRickard Lalander who has studied the countryfor more than 10 years. In this article the principalpurpose is the presentation of certain aspects."
