Ign orance of mana gers for these programs, about which are those br akes and it s rel ev anc e, may be be hi nd the lo w pa rt icip atio n fe es th at comp anie s ha ve in the ir Corp ora te Volunt eering Progr ams . For thi s pur pos e, we con du cted a qualitati ve empi ric al stud y to defi ne a mod el, base d on th e mo ti va ti on s an d deter mi nants of empl oye e parti cipa tio n in cor por ate volunteer programs . The methodology that we use in order to advance the un derst an din g of this fiel d is common in the dy namics of so- called Discussion Group s or Fo cus Group (F G) . We beli eve that this methodological approach fits well wit h the research question and obj ecti ves that gui de us in this wor k, sinc e it will allow the re co ns tru ct io n of re al so cial situ atio ns and to captur e the interaction bet ween dif ferent di scourses. We trust th e fa ct th e mo de l prop ose d real ly allows advanc e in know led ge of Corpor at e Volunt eer fie ld, as li teratur e suggeste d, and we offer a conceptual framework to managers in order to devel op CV programs that all ows mi ti gati ng pot enti al ris ks and inc reas ing employee part icipa ti on ef fect ivel y."
