This article proposes an analysis of the cannibal Woman through 4 works of classical literature: The Bacchae by Euripide, the myth of Procne and Philomela, La belle au bois dormant by Charles Perrault and Hänsel und Gretel from the Brothers Grimm. The study of those figures will shed light on how the cannibalistic act allows the Woman to assert herself, to acquire power by deviating from her role and from the human society

Cet article propose une analyse de la Femme cannibale à travers quatre œuvres de la littérature classique : Les Bacchantes d’Euripide, le mythe de Procné et Philomène, La Belle au bois dormant de Charles Perrault et Hänsel und Gretel des frères Grimm. L’étude de ces figures permettra de mettre en lumière la façon dont l’acte anthropophage permet à la Femme de s’affirmer, d’acquérir du pouvoir en s’écartant de son rôle et de la société humaine.
