Résumé En

As the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic began to wear off, we were expecting France’s demography to regain some vitality. Yet this has not happened. There have been fewer and fewer births and, with a slight, more predictable increase in the number of deaths, the result has been France’s lowest natural balance since World War II. Within this big picture, there is nonetheless territorial dis-parity, notably in births. There is in fact a new births map, which raises ques-tions about France’s population distribution. Is it changing?
