Résumé
Lionel Dufaye’s article attempts to show that geometric approaches are inadequate to account for the distribution of particles like in, on and at even when they take on a locative value. An attempt is made at putting forward an integrated analysis of the prepositional system based on topological concepts; topology not only appears to provide an apt description for spatial uses, but is also compatible with the description temporal and other derived values.
