The Libyc inscriptions in Africa make use of several different alphabets. One of them is deciphered since 1843 : inscriptions can be read, but not really understood. The others, to day, are completely inintelligible. I choiced one alphabet, used by 28 inscriptions, characterized by the chevron V, and by the initial group of 3 letters, the "ternary formula" V '/_ ï. I have understood 1 letter, then 4, then 9, then 14 and 15, the others being too scarce. I have finally partially understootd the 28 inscriptions, and identified words already known, in Libyc, Neopunic and Latin

Les inscriptions libyques d'Afrique utilisent plusieurs alphabets différents. L'un d'entre eux est déchiffré depuis 1843 : on peut lire les inscriptions sans vraiment les comprendre. Les autres sont aujourd'hui complètement incompréhensibles. Nous avons choisi un alphabet, utilisé par 28 inscriptions caractérisées par le chevron, V, et par un groupe initial de 3 lettres la "formule ternaire" V '/_ ï. Nous avons interprété 1 lettre, puis 4, puis 9, puis 14 et 15, les autres étant trop rares. Nous avons finalement compris partiellement les 28 inscriptions, en reconnaissant des mots déjà connus grâce au libyque, au néopunique et au latin
