Résumé
Working from the article written by André Martinet « Genre et sexe », I came to the conclusion of the necessity to consider grammatical gender according to two poles: the arbitrary and the motivated. When sex’s semantical feature is present, grammatical gender is motivated. So, French teaching must introduce this element in education and translation. Such classification would correct the andrologic point of view which weighs down the transmission of human experience.
