This essay presents a central chapter of the Hungarian Porrajmos (‘Holocaust,’ in Romanes, the language of the Roma, or Gypsies): the chronicle of the Komarom camp. As part of a study concluded in 2003, it also deals with the relationship of memory, story and history of the Porrajmos.
