L’exégèse structurale d’Albert Vanhoye souligne les contrastes théologiques de l’Épître aux Hébreux. L’attention à l’excellence du Christ dans la Lectio de Thomas d’Aquin valorise l’unité analogique de l’Alliance. De la rencontre de l’exégèse ancienne et de l’exégèse moderne peut naître une liberté nouvelle de la lecture où se manifestent l’unité et la diversité de la Parole divine de salut dans le « pour toujours » de la Loi et l’« une fois pour toutes » du pardon.

The attention to the excellence of Christ in the Lectio of Thomas Aquinas enhances the analogical unity of the Covenant. From this encounter between ancient and modern exegesis there can be created a new freedom of interpretation where the unity and the diversity of the divine Word of salvation is demonstrated, in the “for ever” of the Law and the “once for all” of forgiveness.
