Résumé En

The site of Kom el-Nogus, which is identified with the ancient village of Plinthine, stands on the Mediterranean coast on the fringes of Egypt, in a region whose development since the New Kingdom has been partly linked to a sustained activity of wine production. The building BAT 603 stands at the top of the eastern side of the kom. This area underwent five major phases of occupation between the mid-7th and early 5th centuries BCE. BAT 603 was built at the end of the period, in a completely redesigned area, sheltered by a large newly erected enclosure wall. Within the building, two blocks of rooms can be distinguished: the southern rooms by their paving and their larger surface area, and the northern rooms by their small size. An open space with three quadrangular structures completes the building layout. Despite partial information due to the poor preservation of the remains, a thorough examination allows the identification of BAT 603 as a small multipurpose storage building, organised around a circulation space leading to storage rooms and a courtyard itself equipped with silos.
