Même si la mondialisation du droit n'a pas échappé à la Cour suprême du Canada, celle-ci accorde encore aujourd'hui sa faveur à l'ordre juridique interne au détriment d'une véritable internationalisation du droit. Ainsi, le recours aux ressources du droit international et étranger reste encore limité à l'influence des pays du Commonwealth et aux États-Unis, voire à quelques programmes d'échange entre la Cour suprême du Canada et d'autres juridictions étrangères.

Even though the Supreme Court of Canada is not unaware of the globalisation of law, it still favors its domestic legal order at the expense of a real internationalisation of law. The use of international and foreign legal resources consequently is still iimited to the influence of members of the Commonwealth and of the USA, or even to some exchange programs between the Supreme Court of Canada and foreign courts.
