À travers l’étude d’un extrait de l’ouvrage didactique Nuzhat al-naẓar d’Ibn Haǧar al-ʿAsqalānī, on peut constater comment les spécialistes du Hadith et des uṣūl al-fiqh ont opéré une conciliation entre différents hadiths présentant une apparence de contradiction. Comment les ʿulamāʾ, confrontés à l’implacable phénomène de la contagion et de l’épidémie, ainsi qu’à des textes dont la cohérence pouvait paraître difficile à saisir, ont-ils relevé le défi de leur conciliation, entre eux et avec le monde qui les entourait ?

Through the study of an extract from the didactic work Nuzhat al-naẓar by Ibn Haǧar al-ʿAsqalānī, we can see how the specialists of Hadith and uṣūl al-fiqh have operated a reconciliation between different hadiths presenting a contradiction. How did the ʿulamāʾ, confronted with the implacable phenomenon of contagion and epidemic, as well as with texts whose coherence might seem difficult to grasp, took up the challenge of reconciling these texts with one another, and with the world around them?

من خلال دراسة مقتطف من كتاب (نزهة النظر) للحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني، يظهر لنا كيف أوجدعلماء الحديث وأصول الفقه توافقا بين أحاديث مختلفة تتعارض ظاهريا مع بعضها البعض. ماذا فعل إذن هؤلاء العلماء أمام ظاهرة العدوى والوباء المستعصية والنصوص التي قد يبدو من الصعب فهم التناسق بينها وذلك لمواجهة التحدي المتمثل في التوفيق بينها وبين البعض وبينها وبين العالم من حولها؟
