Der Beitrag widmet sich der Transfer-Geschichte eines Konzeptes, das in politischer Hinsicht zuerst in den 60er Jahren in Österreich und Frankreich bedeutend war. Die Anhänger des Austromarxismus in Frankreich vertreten eine weitgefasste Definition desselben ; sie verteidigen damit «einen dritten Weg zum Sozialismus», der sowohl das Modell der stalinistischen Sowjetunion als auch die reformfeindliche Starre der Sozialdemokratie zurückweist. In Frankreich wird der Bezug zum Austromarximus aufgrund eines beschränkten Textkorpus und ohne Kenntnis des historischen Kontextes hergestellt.

This article deals with the history of the transfer of a concept, which first became important, from a political point of view, in the 1960s in Austria and France. The proponents of Austromarxism in France adhere to a wider definition of this idea ; they defend a «third path to socialism», which rejects the model of the Stalinist Soviet Union as well as the anti-reform rigidity of social democracy. In France, the relationship to Austromarxism is based on a limited body of texts and without knowledge of the historical context.

La contribution entend étudier l’histoire du transfert d’un concept qui a d’abord servi d’un point de vue politique, en Autriche et en France dès les années 60. Les militants mettent en avant une définition large de l’austromarxisme qui leur permet de défendre «une troisième voie au socialisme», qui refuse les modèles de l’Union soviétique stalinienne et l’immobilisme réformiste social-démocrate. En France, la référence à l’austromarxisme s’opère à partir d’un corpus de textes limité et une absence de connaissance du contexte historique.
