In his 1990 survey of Regulation Theories (published in Economy and Society), Bob Jessop claims that there is a Nordic regulation school. We prefer to put it somewhat more modestly: since the early 1980s, a network of Nordic social scientists mainly economists, but also sociologists and political scientists have conducted comparative research on economic policies and social development.
