Based on in-depth, ethnographic fieldwork conducted from 2007 to 2010 (with follow-up visits in 2013, 2016 and 2017), this well-researched book traces the complex 'hydropolitics'of the Itaipú dam, the binational giant that straddles the Parana River and is co-owned by theParaguayan and Brazilian public utilities, ANDE and Eletrobras.
