Cet article repose sur un terrain ethnographique réalisée en 2018 au Japon dans des lieux de production textile, industrielle comme artisanale, mobilisant des savoir-faire ancestraux ou bien établis plus récemment. Il présente la portion du terrain réalisée à Nishiwaki, au centre du Japon, où est pratiquée une technique de tissage du coton – le banshu-ori – et y approche une manifestation multiple et sensible du secret.
This article is based on an ethnographic research field carried out in Japan in 2018 in places where textile production is developed, both as a craft or industrially, according to ancestral or more recent methods. The research was done in city of Nishiwaki in the central part of Japan, where banshu-ori, a specific technique of cotton weaving, is performed, and it examines a secret manifesting itself in several sensible ways.
Este artigo assenta num trabalho etnográfico realizado em 2018 no Japão em ateliers de produção têxtil industrial e artesanal que mobilizam tanto saberes ancestrais como técnicas mais recentes. Em Nishiwaki, no centro do país, é utilizada uma técnica de tecelagem do algodão – o banshu-ori – que se revela manifestação múltipla e sensível do segredo.
