Résumé
It is a pleasure to present here a fourth volume of the electronic edition of Kurt Gödel’s Maxims and Philosophical Remarks, commonly known as the “Max Phil” series. Since the first volume of this electronic edition (our transcription of Max Phil X) appeared on Hal in January 2017 (https://hal.archives-ouvertes.fr/hal-01459188) , it has been downloaded hundreds of times by Gödel scholars and others. We here present the first complete transcription of Max Phil XII (from Gabelsberger shorthand into longhand German). A preliminary version of this volume, as well as of volumes XIV and XV, was until now only available at the CNRS Granger-Guillermit library at Aix-en-Provence.
