Résumé En

The Freirian conception of hope invite to question the social conditions of hope, through what appears to be one of its sine qua non conditions: the imperative to give voice to the ‘voiceless’. How to ‘communicate hope’, in order to allow those who do not feel empowered to speak publicly to co-define an emancipatory horizon in which they would feel fully included? Although he avoids criticism of pleading for a disconnected utopia, by returning to political work here and now, does Paulo Freire not take the risk of seeing the social relations of domination return to the very heart of the dialogic systems that he calls for?
