Résumé
Through the analysis of some examples that could be classified into three categories, asymmetric alliances between federal states, hegemonic poleis within a federal state and poleis dependent of other poleis, this paper intends to define the dependence relationships established between poleis and confederations in continental Hellas, especially during the Classical period, trying to prove the great variety and diffusion of the ways of subjugation between state communities within the geographic and chronological sphere of our specific research.
