"This article aims to contribute to the current debates on sustainabledevelopment, carrying out a double mission: firstly, through a multilevelexamination (global/national/national-regional/local) of the institutionalinfrastructure for sustainability; and secondly, following throughon the sustainable institutions, understood as the social-democratic relationshipof the binary pair society-nature. An approximation is madeto the communitarian institutions related to the management of commonnatural resources, which makes it possible to raise several questions atdifferent levels of policy making, and to express doubts about sustainabilityfrom specific geo-social environments as well as to find new ways tobring solutions to poverty, exclusion and environmental destruction"
