The Work That Reconnects This workshop is part of our experiential and enactive pedagogy we have been implementing at Paul-Valéry University, Montpellier. Inspired by Joanna Macy’s Works, it enables us to express our gratitude to living ecosystems, to honor our sorrow about the ecological crisis, to put ourselves in the place of a being of nature, and to conceive the passage to action in favor of the socio-ecological transition.Founded on Deep Ecology, systems thinking, Gaia theory, and spiritual traditions, the main purpose of the laboratory is to help people trust their own experience and express what they feel is happening to the world; several practical exercises help participants to develop their imagination in order to enhance compassion, creativity and a sense of belonging to a more-than-human-world (see David Abram).
