Résumé
This paper sums up the Margaretha Zelle court martial case’s file, as found in the French military archives and post-war revelations of German intelligence agents, distinguishing the later myth of the reality of the facts. While an ineffective spy motivated by greed, Mata Hari was clearly in the service of German military intelligence.
