As a popular event born in the streets of the USA, Hip hop is spreading around the world through its mentality and its cultural, sporting or educational uses. Indeed, breakdancing once cemented on asphalt, is now found in the media, sports halls and schools... It is a question of studying, under the gaze of the sociology of education and sports sciences, the reconciliation between the values conveyed by Hip hop and the republican aim. A form of cultural capture takes place, but to what end? It is through institutional mechanisms, driven by the political and strategic conditions of the public authorities, that we will try to determine the means of compensation promoted for young people socialization in France. As such, this survey conducted on various associative fields in the locality of Montpellier, will make it possible to observe in the application the phenomenon of territorialized structuring, the readjustment of the modalities of practice and transmission in a form of reciprocity between politics and society.

Manifestation populaire née dans les rues des USA, le Hip hop se propage dans le monde à travers sa mentalité et ses usages culturels, sportifs ou éducatifs. En effet, la breakdance autrefois cimentée au bitume, se retrouve désormais dans les médias, les salles de sport et les écoles... Il s'agit d'étudier, sous le regard de la sociologie de l'éducation et des sciences du sport, la conciliation entre les valeurs que véhiculent le Hip hop et la visée républicaine. Une forme de saisie culturelle s'opère, mais à quelle fin ? C'est au travers des dispositifs institutionnels, impulsés par les conditions politiques et stratégiques des pouvoirs publics, que nous tenterons de déterminer les moyens de compensation mis en place pour favoriser la socialisation des jeunes en France. A ce titre, cette enquête menée sur divers terrains associatifs dans la localité de Montpellier, permettra d’observer dans l’application le phénomène de structuration territorialisé, le réajustement des modalités de pratique et de transmission dans une forme de réciprocité entre politique et société.
