Résumé En

The Center for Socio-Political Data is a French UAR (Research Support Unit), jointly operated and financed by Sciences Po, one of the most important SSH French Universities, and by the French Center for National Research (CNRS), a world-known research institution. One of its main missions is data curation and preservation on behalf of the French and international SSH community. The main themes of CDSP’s databank are political attitudes and behaviour, gender, family, immigration, school, health, cultural practices, new technologies, etc.The CDSP is one of the main sources concerning French election results, as it provides the French election results data from 1958 to 2012, available both to the research community and to the general public. The Center also curates French SSH surveys like, for example, the French data of the Comparative Study of Electoral Systems (CSES). Data collected with the online probabilistic French panel managed by the CDSP, ELIPSS (Longitudinal Internet Studies for Social Sciences) are also curated and disseminated by the CDSP for the scientific community. The data is preserved and disseminated on the “Banque de données” of the CDSP, on data.sciencespo.fr. All surveys are documented using the Data Documentation Standard DDI, as well as CESSDA and DDI Alliance controlled vocabularies in both English and French. Our metadata are harvested in registries like ISIDORE in France, and CESSDA Data Catalog, OpenAire on the international side. This poster will showcase our curation and dissemination strategy that respects the Open Archival Information System (OAIS) standard, as well as our use of the Dataverse platform to make our data yet more FAIR*.
