La question djihadiste fait l’objet à la fois d’un déni et d’un refoulé. Le terme de radicalisation est une prénotion, un mot-écran qui conduit à mettre en série le djihadisme avec la bande à Baader ou la crise d’adolescence, aussi bien qu’avec de vieilles antiennes de l’extrême droite ; le terme d’islamophobie interdit, empêche de considérer ce qui s’est passé en islam avec le salafisme comme construction d’un discours décontextualisant pour terroriser de l’intérieur le monde musulman.

The jihadist question entails both a denial and a repression. First, the term “radicalization” is a preconception, a screen-word that leads to placing it in a history along with the Baader group, or the adolescent crisis, or with the old ground of the extreme right. Second, the interdicted term, “Islamaphobia,” prevents us from considering what is going on with Islamic Salafism, a decontextualizing discourse that is terrorizing the Islamic world from the inside.
