Co-creation is based on managing creativity among diverse groups or people so that they can be an active part of the creative process, without having to be specialists or have knowledge on the subject. The key is knowing how to find the mechanisms that allow complementing the different knowledge and skills that each person can contribute individually to create something collectively.The idea that creation is above production is elementary for future teachers to internalize artistic education practices focused not on the merely decorative or commemorative, but that promote thought and experimentation. Conceiving art education as a means of applied research, creating the conditions to maximize reflection through creative processes, so that students can strengthen their capacities and build and optimize meaningful learning.

La cocreación se basa en gestionar la creatividad entre colectivos o personas diversas para que puedan formar parte activamente del proceso creativo, sin que tengan que ser especialistas ni tengan conocimientos sobre el tema. La clave está en saber encontrar los mecanismos que permitan complementar los diferentes conocimientos y habilidades que pueda aportar cada persona individualmente para crear algo colectivamente. La idea de que la creación está por encima de la producción es elemental para que los futuros docentes interioricen prácticas de educación artística centradas no en lo meramente decorativo o conmemorativo, sino que potencien el pensamiento y la experimentación. Concibiendo la educación artística como un medio de investigación aplicada, creando las condiciones para maximizar a través de los procesos creativos la reflexión, para que el alumnado pueda afianzar sus capacidades y construir y optimizar aprendizajes significativos.
