"This paper approaches to the theoreticalfoundations of production and logisticmanagement in small business administration.This is a time of complex changes:markets, products and competition environmentget into sudden transformations,and most of the enterprises and organizationscan hardly adapt to new circumstances.It is difficult to compete efficientlyand even more difficult to guarantee aposition in the market. Organizations appealto new strategies; most of them promotefollowing international tendencies, but theyare not actually ready to put them into thepraxis. Who and how all this theoretical solutionscan assure competitive advantagesand turn know-how a real capital.This paper presents a management strategy forthe operative systems in small business. It emphasizeson product and logistic administrations,as a result of a descriptive research previouslyapplied to a hundred of companies from differentareas and sizes in the Colombian context."
