L'article analyse la relation entre le poète américain Mark Strand (1934-2014) et la poésie de Giacomo Leopardi, en se concentrant en particulier sur une réécriture de La sera del dì di festa, par laquelle Strand a clôturé une anthologie de ses propres vers intitulée Selected poems et publiée en 1980.

L’articolo indaga il rapporto fra il poeta statunitense Mark Strand (1934-2014) e la poesia di Giacomo Leopardi, concentrandosi in particolare su un rifacimento de La sera del dì di festa, con cui Strand chiude nel 1980 un’antologia dei propri versi, intitolata Selected poems.

The article examines the relationship between U.S. poet Mark Strand (1934-2014) and the poetry of Giacomo Leopardi, focusing in particular on a remake of La sera del dì di festa, with which Strand closed an anthology of his own verses, entitled Selected poems, in 1980.
