A miniature altar has been discovered in a building filling, belonging to a rural settlement in Bétheny, north of the ancient city of Reims/Durocortorum. The discovery context prevents us from identifying the status of this cult place dedicated to Dagiata or Agiata (a domestic temple or a place dedicated to the local genius loci?), but the engraved inscription on the altar allows us to add a new deity in the Remorum pantheon. The breaks in the altar stone create some problems for the reading of the inscription: part of lines 2 and 3 are unreadable, as well as the end of the text on the back side. However it is still possible to identify this object as an altar offered to the local goddess Dagiata or Agiata, to fulfill a vow.

Un autel miniature a été découvert dans le comblement d’un bâtiment appartenant à un habitat rural situé à Bétheny, au nord de la ville antique de Reims/Durocortorum. Si le contexte de la découverte empêche de reconnaître le statut du lieu de culte consacré à Dagiata ou éventuellement Agiata (un sanctuaire domestique ou un lieu consacré au genius loci local ?), l’inscription gravée sur le corps de l’objet permet d’enrichir le panthéon des Rèmes d’une divinité nouvelle. La lecture de l’inscription pose quelques problèmes, à cause notamment des cassures de la pierre qui rendent illisibles une partie de la ligne 2 et de la ligne 3, également la fin de l’inscription reportée sur la partie arrière. Il est néanmoins possible d’identifier un autel offert à la déesse locale Dagiata ou Agiata en accomplissement d’un vœu.
