Right there, in the tremors of these questions, when the cold, the night and the neoliberal winter take position in order to cool the souls, we need once again, towarm the heart, to be reborn from the ashes, to revive the fallen wills with such to inflict one last counterattack, one last move in which the destiny of public education is defined. This tight essay gives respite to a Latin American pedagogy, one that, in short, to its peers in the counter-hegemonic struggle allows, on the day after the avalanche, to return the volcanic heat to those forces coming from below.

Qué pasa si al final de la batalla perdemos, pero esta vez, todo. Qué pasa si al último minuto de la resistencia recibimos el golpe de gracia, el feroz golpe irreparable de la derrota, uno que pueda dejarnos en seco, sin esperanza alguna, en el suelo, abatidos y sin aliento. Qué hacemos, cómo quedan los rosales, los sueños y los pueblos. Justo ahí, en los temblores de estas preguntas, cuando el frío, la noche y el invierno neoliberal toman posición con el fin de enfriar las almas, necesitamos una vez más, caldear el corazón, renacer de las cenizas, reanimar las voluntades caídas con tal de infringir un último contraataque, una última jugada en la que se defina el destino de la educación pública.
