Résumé
It is not well known that during his reign, Louis-Philippe commissioned the greater part of the Sèvres factory production for the various residences of the royal family. “ the king of the French” had put in place an extremely well managed system of setting different porcelain services, according to the quality and position of his guests, on the king’s table as well as on the tables of the servants. This article deals with the main characteristics of these services at the time of the climax of Alexandre Brongniart’s career.
