Esperanza Hernández Delgado, « LA PAZ Y LA NO VIOLENCIA ADQUIERESN SIGNIFICADO PROPIO EN COLOMBIA EN LAS INICIATIVAS DE PAZ QUE CONSTRUYEN LAS BASES DESDE LO LOCAL », Reflexión Política, ID : 10670/1.ty9m40
"Based on the findings of peace research, this article emphasizes thesignificance and scope that indigenous, black, and peasant communitieshave given to peace and non-violence in Colombia. These communities haveno knowledge of the pacifist proposals of Gandhi, Martin Luther King, orMandela, yet from their needs and self-processes have generated, appropriated and fashioned, in perfect form, peace initiatives. These peaceinitiatives see peace as a defender of life, a civil resistance to armed conflict, autonomous protection, and a self-determination for these communities having to face armed actors, political participation, basic development, the progress for democracy, and the defense of culture, among others."
