This presentation examines three questions:•What verb endings are attested in general truth statements in Amdo Tibetan, and do they necessarily express factual evidential? •How can the examination of general truth statements help to refine the description of verb endings in Amdo Tibetan, and especially the distinction between stative and dynamic or progressive markers?•Is it possible to identify some specific discourse strategies to explain the choice of verb endings in general truth statements?
