Besides the major projects on the existing housing, represented by the "classical" operations rehabilitation of social housing by the old centers in operation and now by the actions of some large condominiums, there are some self-production practices persist, adapt, renew. We can make the hypothesis that self-build and autoréhabilitation, although actual activities can contribute to the construction and reconstruction of housing, but also locals and building trades.

A côté des grands chantiers nationaux sur l’existant, représentés par les opérations «classiques» de réhabilitation de l’habitat social, par les opérations en centres anciens et désormais par les interventions sur les grandes copropriétés , il existe certaines pratiques d’autoproduction qui perdurent, s’adaptent, se renouvellent. On peut ainsi poser en hypothèse que l’autoconstruction et l’autoréhabilitation, activités bien réelles, peuvent contribuer à la construction et à la reconstruction du logement, mais aussi de l’habitant comme des métiers du bâtiment.
