"Sex pre-grade courses in Colombia are not common yet. Althoughgenerally it is thought that professionals have large information in thearea, it is observed that the first sex course given in a Medical School ofa Colombian University was dictacted in the Universidad de Caldas (Manizales)only in 1968. Five years Iater a similar course was introduced inthe Medical School of the Universidad del Rosario in Bogota. The phenomenonís not surprising since a similar sítuation occurs in other LatínAmerican countries. The paper presents the main characteristics of aformal sex course which has been included in the psychology currículumat the Universidad Metropalitana in Barranquilla, Colombia. It ia consíderedvery useful for those persons interested on improving the trainingof the Latin American psychologist."
