Una experiencia colombiana en psicología industrial

"The article has a double objective: on one hand to discover thepresent situation of psychology of work in Colombia, and on theother hand to present a concrete case of activities in this fieldduring a period of three years. In the first part description is madeof the present status of industrial psychology from the followingpoints of view: training provided by the Universlty, possibilities inthe employment market, management,development of appliedresearch. In the second part, description is made of the activities ofa psychologist during a period of three years in a service trainingentity (SENA). Within an environment where industrial psychologyis not well known, the progressive change of attitudes ofnon-psychologist professionals towards the psychologist andpsychology is underlined. In the same way, mention ls msde of theprogressive wldening of the psychologist´s range of action until hebecome, an accepted and necessary member wlthin the work ofthe entity. In general terms, this experience reveals the processpresently lived in the country in relation to this field of appliedPsychology; dlfficulties and deficiencies are being partly overcome,allowing to foresee for a near future, a greater development ofindustrial psychology in Colombia."
