Which grammatical descriptions do most french foreign language (FFL) teachers privilege in Mexico to teach Spanish-speaking learners? What is the impact of these descriptions on learning? Through this paper, the authors, members of the research group GRAC Mexico, invite the reader to think over these issues. For that reason, they propose to assess some variables concerning FFL teaching context in Mexico, emphasizing linguistic and metalinguistic capital of learners.
