This article presents a project of collaborative translation into French of the English documentation of the CIDOC Conceptual Reference Model (CIDOC CRM) version 7.1.2. This project uses and, in a way, hacks the distributed management software Git and the GitLab environment. The analysis is based on an ontogeny of the modified platform, using the concepts defined by Gilbert Simondon. These concepts describe the technical object through the process of individuation. The relationship with the platform produces reproducible processes and reusable objects. The translation work is based on the versioning of the text in markdown, the production of statistics on the whole project and its documentation through functionalities such as issues, milestones and branches. The project is designed as an experiment in digital humanities. The practice of the collective translation on the digital platform Gitlab opens a space for a reflection about the digital technical object in the tradition of the French philosopher Gilbert Simondon. The genesis of the technical object happens through the individuation process. The relationship to the platform produces reproducible processes and reusable objects. The translation project builds a community of French-speaking researchers around values of open data, FAIR, and cooperation in the semantic web and cultural heritage.

Cet article présente un retour d'expérience et une réflexion portée sur un projet de traduction collaborative en français de la documentation en anglais de l’ontologie formelle du Modèle Conceptuel de Référence CIDOC (CIDOC CRM) version 7.1.2. Ce projet de traduction utilise et détourne le logiciel de gestion distribuée Git et l’environnement GitLab généralement utilisés pour du code informatique. L’analyse s’appuie sur une ontogenèse de la plateforme amendée à l'aide de concepts définis par Gilbert Simondon. Ces concepts décrivent l'objet technique au moyen du processus d’individuation. La relation à la plateforme produit des processus reproductibles et des objets réutilisables. Le projet est pensé comme une expérimentation en humanités numériques. Celle-ci s’appuie sur le versionnement de la traduction en markdown, la production de statistiques sur l'ensemble du projet et sa documentation au moyen de fonctionnalités telles que les tickets, jalons et branches. La mise en relation à (et par) la plateforme rassemble, soutient, rend visible et fédère une communauté francophone de chercheur⋅ses ancrée dans des valeurs ouvertes (FAIR) des données, de partage et de coopération autour du web sémantique et du patrimoine culturel.
