Anne Desconsi Hasselmann Bettin et al., « Exploring the concept of Tax Education in Elementary School », HAL-SHS : sciences de l'éducation, ID : 10670/1.xifgmy
This paper presents the results of a study which focused on a proposal for the inclusion of Tax Education in Elementary School, aiming to develop and explore its notions. It is based on qualitative research methods, where data collection was carried out through written and photographic records of the activities proposed to ninth grade students at a public school. The activities involved the importance of invoice as well as the creation of applications and the study of Mathematics, thus aiming to discuss and contribute to the student’s citizenship education. The results showed that the students were encouraged to think critically and creatively, therefore being able to understand notions of Tax Education and, in an interdisciplinary way, to develop notions of programming. This knowledge also assisted the students in the learning of Mathematics in an interactive and connected way, thus enabling them to apply such knowledge in daily life situations. Therefore, this study is expected to contribute to the student’s citizenship education.
