Guido P. Galafassi, « Tribulaciones, lamentos y ocasos de un tonto país imaginario. El mercado como único y último sentido posible », Theomai, ID : 10670/1.xnfn48
"The author establishes that neo-liberal ideology took great force after de falling of real-socialism regimes on Eastern Europe; the periphery of capitalist system, i.e. underdeveloped countries, is the place where the neoliberal system is taken to its last consecuences. In this context, Argentina is ?no doubt about it- one of the most ambitious neoliberal experiments in the capitalist periphery. Large transnational corporations, which in their home countries use to behave according to certain ethic an legal values, in the periphery simply embrace behavior patterns linked to corruption mechanisms, both politic and economic. Late 20th Century neoliberalism took Argentina through a deconstruction process of the nation-state, imposing both social fragmentation and the supremacy of competence-based individualism. The destruction of the state throughout the Menem administration was total; this was possible only because Argentina went through a parallel process of cultural construction designed to legitimate the emergence of neoliberal model."
