Resumé Après avoir été éclipsée, la question du contre-transfert est aujourd’hui régulièrement débattue dans la littérature spécialisée. Dans cet article, la réflexion se centre sur un niveau contre-transférentiel identifié en amont du temps de la rencontre. Niveau nommé à la suite de J.B. Pontalis : le contre-transfert originaire ou pré-contre-transfert. Nous soutenons ainsi la nécessité qu’il y a de se défaire de son savoir préalable, de sa théorie de référence, pour pouvoir accueillir pleinement l’autre dans sa singularité et offrir à la surprise la possibilité de poser la partition du lien intersubjectif. Cette position éthique prend tout son sens lorsqu’il s’agit de la considération du sexuel au féminin, car le risque de paralysie du contre-transfert devient majeur dans les cas où le clinicien reste attaché au modèle phallocentrique hérité de S. Freud.
