L’art de la ligne dans As I Lay Dying de William Faulkner : une esthétique de la turbulence

Résumé 0

This article, which focuses on William Faulkner’s As I Lay Dying (1930), examines the way in which the figure of the line imposes itself at different levels of the narrative. First, it observes the delineations of Faulknerian space-time; then it studies the material lines that are drawn, sketching out things and situations that systematically remind the reader of their facticity as literary objects. Finally, our attention centers on the novel’s formal singularities, linked to typography, punctuation and the use of repetition.
