Résumé En

Like other forest plantations formed by fast growing species, poplar plantations are at the heart of controversies. Some criticize them for their lack of biodiversity. But others highlight an associated biodiversity. Some consider that they make landscapes ugly, while others appreciate their aesthetic character. In this presentation, we presented the points of view of different local stakeholders and particularly questioned the ones of inhabitants: what do they think about ecosystem services provided by poplar plantations? We based our comments on semi-supervised interviews, conducted in two major poplar regions in France, in Centre-Val Loire de Loire and Hauts-de-France regions.
