Résumé
A Vocabulary Companion to Practical English 2 is a compilation of lexical exercises based on topics covered in the MA-level Practical English course conducted in the summer semester at the Institute of English Studies, University of Lodz. It aims to provide students with self-study materials to enrich their knowledge of the English vocabulary practised in the classroom. The higher-level vocabulary exercises concentrate on the five topics: Health and Fitness, Politeness, Sociobiology, Gender Issues, and Happiness. They cover collocations, idiomatic expressions, prepositional phrases, word formation, and phrasal verbs.
