À partir d’une pratique de psychologue clinicien dans un service de suivi psychologique en milieu judiciaire, nous présentons une situation liée à un passage à l’acte violent d’un mari sur sa femme, donnant lieu dans l’après-coup à une vision hallucinée du visage souffrant de sa femme. Nous envisageons ici l’hypothèse d’un passage à l’acte comme retour du clivé lié à une tentative de figuration d’un contenu archaïque davantage qu’à un appel à un tiers ou une tentative de symbolisation.

The author of this paper draws on his experience as a clinical psychologist working within a psychological counselling service as part of the courts system to examine an example of acting out in the form of a violent act perpetrated by a husband against his wife which gave rise after the event to the husband hallucinating the anguished face of his victim. This paper examines the hypothesis of acting out as a return of splitting, linked with an effort to represent archaic content, rather than as a means of calling out to a third party or an attempt to symbolise.
